Fits other buffer/sanders also.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this pad will fit harbor freight buffers which are hook and loop only. This pad is heavy rubber with enough flex to buff or sand into curved surfaces and return to flat surfaces. All non-hook and loop disks/buffing pads fit correctly. This product is very well made.
Update (5/18/2012): This item is currently on sale here for the lowest price I’ve seen.

DeWalt DW4990 7″ Super Flex Quick Change
The DeWalt DW4990 7 "Super Flex Quick Change Rubber plate, manufactured in Taiwan, arrived in a sealed box, without one around the puck." Two items are listed on DeWalt "packing list" A flexible backing plate "and" A around the puck. "DeWalt DW4990 7-Inch Super Flex Quick Change rubber bearing are contained incomplete common with the brand Dewalt ?

A necessary accessory
This is good to have if you own a 7″ buffer/polisher or angle grinder. It is a little stiffer than I thought it would be, but otherwise works well. Couldn’t be easier to mount/unmount, and should provide years of service. Made in Taiwan.
