Let me clear up some misconceptions…
This is a great HDTV. Hands down is one of the most beautiful displays in this size. You can buy a fancier ultra-thin 32″ TV from Samsung right now but it’s almost twice the price!

1. it is a very good TV
2. sound is not a problem. change Dolby Digital Dynamic Range settings to “compressed”. also what do you expect from a small TV … for example I expect just OK sound

An excellent set!
I was undecided between this 2009 model and last year’s LN40A550.
